“It’s just getting worse”: Security companies offering neighbourhood patrols to combat auto theft
Listen to CPIS discuss neighbourhood security patrols, auto-theft concerns, visible deterrence and the role private security can play in supporting residential communities while police remain responsible for law enforcement.
Community involvement is part of public safety.
CPIS believes security work should include positive community engagement, prevention education and support for organizations that strengthen the communities we serve.
Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ontario
CPIS is proud to have supported the Peel Polar Plunge in connection with Peel Regional Police, helping support a community fundraising movement benefiting Special Olympics Ontario. The Polar Plunge brings law-enforcement communities, businesses, volunteers and participants together to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes.

Auto-theft prevention and community safety
Our community work also includes awareness around vehicle theft, break-ins and residential security. CPIS community patrol programs are designed to increase visible deterrence, encourage early reporting and help residents think about layered security that combines patrol, lighting, smart alarms, cameras and appropriate police notification.
Community Events
See how CPIS prepares for community events, supports worthwhile causes, contributes through donations and enjoys the day alongside the people and organizations we serve.
Our community involvement starts long before an event opens. The team organizes supplies, prepares the CPIS booth and works with Euro Nation to set the sound and lighting. Once everything is ready, the focus shifts to supporting the cause, connecting with people and sharing some good old fun. From staff equipment and community materials to Euro Nation sound and lighting, information booths and the CPIS event tent, thoughtful preparation helps each event feel organized, welcoming and ready for everyone. CPIS community participation is about supporting worthwhile causes, sharing public-safety information and building positive relationships beyond our day-to-day security work. CPIS has supported local community programs through financial donations, fundraiser sponsorship and seasonal giving. The George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre thanked CPIS for a $5,000 gift and support for its Community Day BBQ Fundraiser. Our Christmas giving has also included toys, food and other community donations prepared to help families during the holiday season.
